osition Summary:
The Specialist assists the Safety Department in providing, teaching, and monitoring programs geared towards preventing occupational injuries, while adhering to all JetBlue Airways policies, procedures, and protocols. These programs include, but may not be limited to, the Physical Ability Testing Program and the Ergonomic Injury Prevention Program.
Essential Functions:
- Administers physical ability testing (PAT) for JetBlue applicants and Crewmembers as instructed and directed by the Safety Department
- Monitors PAT program and assists in quality assurance as directed
- Assists JetBlue Crewmembers in preventing and resolving ergonomic issues and complaints as directed by the Safety Department
- Assists the Safety Department in providing ergonomic training
- Assists the Safety Department with programs as needed and directed
- May, upon occasion, be required to supervise testing processes, protocols, and injury prevention programs in several BlueCities
Location: JFK
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Detail oriented
- Demonstrated solid reasoning and analytical skills
- Demonstrated ability to follow protocols and policies
- Able to work independently with accuracy and exceptional follow-through
- Excellent customer service, interpersonal and observation skills

- Computer and other office equipment
- Measuring gauges
- Necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required at airport facilities
Work Environment:
- Multiple work locations and irregular work hours based on the needs of Crewmembers, BlueStations and BlueCities
- Working environments include office and airport facilities
Physical Effort:
- Moderate physical activity required by handling objects up to 50 pounds occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds frequently. (Medium)
