Description
- Transports baggage from area airports to Customer homes, businesses, and hotels
- Delivers items by identifying destinations, establishing routes, operating the truck, unloading items, and maintaining the schedule
- Maintains delivery, truck, and driving records by obtaining receipt acknowledgments, recording tracking information, completing driver logs and truck performance forms
- Ensures high-quality customer service and professional communication and interaction with Customers and Crewmembers
- Utilizes mobile communication equipment in a safe and practical way following Company policies and standards
- Completes route, activity, and vehicle inspection checklists as required
- Prepares van for operation by inspecting the general condition, checking fluid levels and tire pressure, obtaining or scheduling required repairs and validating adherence to road and safety standards
- Maintains a safe operation and clean appearance (cleans bus exterior and interior) by complying with organization operational policies, procedures, and standards, as well as state and local driving rules and regulations
- Updates job knowledge by participating in training opportunities
- Performs general preventive maintenance checks on the vehicles
